Pokemon Go News Update 0.91.1 – Update on iOS & Android:- Pokemon Go has been given a new update on iOS and Android.
The update takes the game to version 0.91.1 on Android and 1.61.1 on iOS. As part of the update, Niantic has improved the in-game news feature and added a new search function for finding Shinies.
“Pokemon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.91.1 for Android and 1.61.1 for iOS devices,” reads a Niantic blog post.
The patch notes in full:
- Improved the in-game News feature.
- The Pokemon Collection search function now lets Trainers search using “Shiny.”
- Various bug fixes and performance updates
- Dataminers have also discovered evidence of a new Quest feature that will transform the way fans play.
According to The Silph Road, Niantic will release a new multi-quest system, complete with a greater emphasis on supporting characters.
“We’re looking at the beginnings of an in-game quest system that appears to encapsulate all of the mechanics available in Pokemon GO, even incorporates characters who grant them, and pre-conditions that suggest increasing levels of difficulty and progress,” the post reads.
Pokemon Go dataminers appear to have discovered a new Gen Legendary in the game code.
Deoxys and another Pokemon were reportedly found as part of information received via the official Pokemon Go network traffic.
The psychic is categorised as a Legendary type and could be used as the next Pokemon Go Raids boss.
Kyogre will be leaving Gyms on February 14, providing excellent timing for another special Pokemon to be released.
“The DNA of a space virus underwent a sudden mutation upon exposure to a laser beam and resulted in Deoxys,” the official Pokedex description reads.
“The crystalline organ on this Pokémon’s chest appears to be its brain.”
Pokemon Go fans can unlock a host of new items from the in-game clothing store.
Niantic has added new Pokemon Go clothing items that can only be purchased once you’ve earned the required medals.
This includes new Fisherman costumes, new Battle Girl outfits and Jogger gear.
“Proud of your Magikarp-catching skills?” reads a Niantic tweet. “With every Fisherman medal you achieve, a familiar Fisherman avatar item will be available for you to purchase in-game. Good luck – and don’t get splashed!”
A follow-up tweet adds: “Trainers, show off your fighting spirit! New Battle Girl avatar items are available for purchase once you achieve the Bronze, Silver, or Gold Battle Girl medals.”
“Show off how far you’ve walked while playing Pokemon GO with the all-new Jogger avatar items, now available to purchase after earning the Bronze, Silver, or Gold Jogger medals,” a final tweet reads.
