a. For myRutgers login, first of all, visit the official website of Rutgers University online portal available at https://cas.rutgers.edu/login?renew=true&service=https://my.rutgers.edu/portal/Login
b. A new page will appear on your screen where you will see the Login page portal page. Click that button tagged Login.
c. Now write your NetID and Password in the field where they are required.
d. After that choose the authentication type which may be (Default or SafeWord)
e. Also, tick the button that is labeled ‘Notify me before logging me into other sites’.
f. In the end, click on the login button.
Before telling you the process to activate your NetID as a first-time user, we have to explain in short-term what NetID is used for. NetID is given to all faculty, staff, students, and guests. This identification number is a Rutgers unique identifier given to the above-mentioned persons.
The NetID comprised of initials and a unique number (e.g. jqs23). So in order to access any of the electronic services available to you at Rutgers, it is important that you activate your Rutgers NetID. Note that your assigned NetID will appear on the activation screen after you have completed the whole process.

c. There you have to write your username and Email address.
d. Enter your account credentials such as First Nam, Last Name, Identifier (SSN/RUID/A-Number), Last four digits of your Identifier selected above
and Date of Birth.
e. Solve the robot task and click on the button tagged ‘Lookup Your NetID’
